BIO

Chase Varnes makes music the way he lives it - hands-on. The 14-year-old Vancouver Island singer-songwriter writes all of his own material and is self-producing his debut EP, playing every instrument to keep the songs close to the bone. You hear it in the fingerprint details: clean guitar figures, patient drum parts, harmonies that lift the chorus without crowding the lyric. There’s country warmth in the storytelling, pop clarity in the hooks, and a steady focus on what matters: family, faith, and the moments that mark growing up.

Chase first turned heads on America’s Got Talent, earning three yeses after a calm reset that showed composure beyond his years. Instead of rushing, he went home and doubled down on the music. The first look at what he’s been building is his debut single, “Where the Wild Runs Free,” landing in early November - a bright, expansive track that captures the pull of wide-open spaces and the courage it takes to follow your own compass. It’s the opening chapter of an EP now in progress, tracked piece by piece with Chase at the helm.

Live, he’s comfortable in any room - from church stages and markets to ticketed venues - carrying sets with tone, taste, and unforced connection. With “Where the Wild Runs Free” ushering in his debut era, Chase is inviting listeners into songs that feel handcrafted and big-hearted - built the long way, because that’s how they last.
